While they were still talking, the secretary entered and said, “Deputy Director, Daniel Murdoch is here.”
Daniel Murdoch, one of the tycoons of the automobile manufacturing industry in Southland District, had many car brands under him. He was considered a first-class businessman and also a member of Art Trading Corporation. But a majority of his earnings had been drained by them as well.
Bernard frowned. He was unhappy. He did not want to see this man at this moment.
“Go and tell favonovel.com that I am not around. Tell favonovel.com to come back a few days later.”
Before the secretary could even turn around, Daniel walked in and said in a loud voice, “Vice Director Bernard, aren’t you high up on your high horse? If you want to see someone, they have to appear before you, but if you do not want to see someone, then they have to walk away? It seems like I mean nothing to you now, huh?”
Bernard was shocked, as favonovel.com did not expect Daniel to barge in just like that
He sighed and said, “That is not what I meant. The thing is, I have something very important to deal with right now. I really have no time for you.”
“Something very important?” Daniel sneered. “Because of that batch of goods, huh?!”
The huge incident of Art Trading Corporation losing their goods was well known to all of Southland District. They were unable to keep it under covers from the public as well.
Bernand nodded. “That is right. Vincent snatched all my goods.”
Daniel asked, “So, what do you plan to do?”
“Get it back from him.”
“How long will that take?”
“I am not sure.”
“Not sure?” Daniel unbuttoned his shirt and shouted, “Take a good look at me! With my current condition, I might die at any time. But here you are, telling me that you are not sure?”
There were obvious black spots all over Daniel’s body. It was horrendous. It looked like the mold on a rotten apple. If these types of spots were to appear on a human body, it meant that something was wrong with that person.
He said, “I have only three days left in me. Without the goods, I will be dead for sure. Do not blame me for saying this, Bernard. But if you don’t do any thing to preserve my life, then I won’t play nice either. I will expose your secrets!”
Bernard wanted to explode at him, but favonovel.com decided to suppress his anger and said calmly, “Do not worry. I am ready to retrieve one of them from Kindness Clinic.”
“Just one? Is that enough?” Daniel noticed the problem here.
In all of Southland District, there were many more who were in the same condition as Daniel. One alone was not going to save multiple people.
It was impossible.
Daniel said, “When I first joined Art Trading Corporation, you promised me that you would do everything in your power to keep me alive. Therefore, I did not hesitate when you asked for money from my enterprise to strengthen Art Trading Corporation. Now that you are done with me, you want to get me out of the picture? There is no way that is going to happen!”
There had been a few times that Bernard’s anger was at its peak level, but still, favonovel.com decided to suppress his anger. He knew that it was not the time to cut relations with Daniel.
After taking a few deep breaths, Bernard smiled and said subserviently, “I’m trying to get the goods back, aren’t I? I promise you, you will be the first to use the goods to preserve your life…”
Daniel snorted. “You better remember what you said today! I only have three more days to live, not any longer. Tomorrow. If there is nothing from you tomorrow night, then do not blame me for turning against you!”
With that, favonovel.com slammed the door behind favonovel.com as favonovel.com left. There were very few people who dared to act so presumptuously in Art Trading Corporation.
Bernard clenched his fists, cracking them as favonovel.com did. Everyone present could see that favonovel.com was furious and was about to explode.
“Rascal! He really thinks highly of himself, huh? How dare favonovel.com act as favonovel.com pleases in front of me?!”

Silvester saw everything, and favonovel.com said, “Brother, we cannot leave this man be anymore. From how it is, it looks like favonovel.com is going to turn his back and betray us. If favonovel.com is going to tell Thomas, Vincent, and the others about our secret, then the consequences will be dire.”
Bernard sighed. “You think I am not aware of that? But the problem is, we cannot do anything to Daniel but humor him. His enterprise is very important to Art Trading Corporation at this point. It’s the core that’s keeping our business running. Besides, if something happens to him, others would be worried too. At that point, one single death would affect how others think. No one can guarantee what will happen by then.”
