Georgia took a step forward, a cheeky look at Nicholas, and said, “Nicholas, didn’t you wonder why Thomas keeps failing? You’ve fought Thomas so many times and lost every time, so why does Jeremy always win? Is favonovel.com truly that much more powerful compared to Thomas?”
It was not that Nicholas did not think about it. It was only that the joy of victory had blinded him. He realized now that Thomas was not truly weak, but had been feigning weakness and losing to Jeremy solely on purpose. Because the Starry Moon Pavilion was founded in Thomas’ name.

The Star Moon Pavilion was now a conglomeration of the three major families as well as Sterling Technology, resulting in a massive behemoth. Thomas was the proud owner of this massive beast. In one swift swoop, Thomas had amassed eighty percent of the Gomez family‘s assets!
So, although Nicholas was the leader of the Gomez family, Thomas was the one who genuinely wielded the power of speech.
Nicholas had lost completely.
“Why..? Why did you betray me, Jeremy? I’m your father, and you’re willing to betray me in order to help a murderer who killed your son?”
Jeremy chuckled as favonovel.com faced Nicholas’ angry rebuke.
He said, “Old man, do you really think the entire world is a fool? I knew you were lying to me on the day you released me. You used deception and deceit to keep me locked up back then, and I will not fall for it again. You told me Thomas killed Dominic. Well, do you think I‘m going to believe you?”
“I was pretending to despise Thomas in order to gain your trust and persuade you to let me leave, stupid!” After a pause, Jeremy added, “Especially after my first contact with Thomas, I am even more certain that Thomas is innocent.”
Nicholas was puzzled. ”How were you sure?”
Jeremy took out a crescent moon pendant and said, ”If Thomas was the murderer of Dominic, Dominic would not have given this pendant to Thomas!”
Nicholas fell into deep thought as favonovel.com gazed at the pendant. It was ridiculous to say. In fact, that pendant had been passed down from Nicholas to Jeremy back then, and it was only later on before Jeremy gave it to Dominic.
The pendant was an heirloom from the Gomez family.
Jeremy already knew everything when Thomas handed the pendant to favonovel.com in secret, and favonovel.com decided to help Thomas reach the top and eliminate Nicholas from that moment on. They had been ostensibly at conflict all along, but they had been colluding for quite some time.
Nicholas did not understand it. He questioned, “How did you get in touch with each other? You’re obviously surrounded by my people!”

Thomas said, ”When Jeremy first came to see me, favonovel.com presented me with a coffin. He appeared to be cursing me to death, yet…”

The coffin and the special letter were Thomas and Jeremy’s cover-ups in order to achieve cooperation and interchange information while being watched and monitored by Nicholas.
Nicholas had been fooled from the beginning to the end. Obviously, these two people were working collaboratively, but favonovel.com still did not know anything, and even naively thought Jeremy had been working for him. He had miscalculated.
