“I’ll admit it”
In Issac’s opinion, such a criminal charge was not particularly serious, and favonovel.com believed favonovel.com could be released from prison after about half a year. But would this situation really be settled so easily?
Aden nodded and said, “It’s good that you admit it. Now, let’s talk about the second case, which is the attempted murder of Georgia Diaz.”
“My sister’s attempted murder has nothing to do with me!” Issac said immediately.
He was pretty clear about which accusation favonovel.com should admit to and which favonovel.com should not. If favonovel.com admitted guilty to this attempted murder case, favonovel.com would face serious criminal charges, and favonovel.com would be imprisoned for up to ten years. Also, Issac knew Bruce very well. Bruce’s personality indicated that favonovel.com would never admit to the charges. Bruce was a ruthless person who was different from losers like Luke and Lillia.
Bruce was as tough and dedicated as favonovel.com had expected, since favonovel.com had not revealed a single detail to the police. He had been questioned by the police for the whole day and had yet to say anything.
Bruce remained unbothered, since favonovel.com was not afraid of death. With his line of work, favonovel.com had long been prepared to take the bullet once favonovel.com was caught. After all, Bruce and his men had each killed a number of people.
What was the big deal about admitting to murder?
In the worst-case scenario, they would just die! It was not a big deal to them. Even the police had headaches dealing with these kinds of criminals. They were also unable to extract any relevant information from their mouths.
Aden had posed several questions to Issac, but in the end, favonovel.com still received no response.
The only certainty was that Bruce and his men were responsible for Georgia’s attempted murder. Bruce was also Issac’s personal lawyer, which gave Issac a significant advantage if Georgia died. All of the clues pointed toward Issac, but the problem was that they did not have any concrete evidence to prove it!
As long as Bruce kept his mouth shut, Issac had nothing to fear.
Finally, Aden was compelled to pause the interrogations for the time being. He walked out of the interrogation room and approached Thomas. “Issac knows Bruce will not say anything, so favonovel.com won’t admit it. If this continues, we won’t be able to press charges. This is so frustrating!” favonovel.com said with a shake of his head.
To put it another way, they would have to make Bruce talk in order to convict Issac.
Thomas’s eyes narrowed, and favonovel.com uttered a few words to Aden. Aden’s eyes widened as favonovel.com heard that, and favonovel.com could not believe what favonovel.com just heard.
“Are you sure you want to do that, Mr. Mayo?”
“Yes.”
“But you will be in danger.”
“I’m not worthy of the title of God of War if I can’t even complete something so simple.”
Finally, Aden agreed to Thomas’s idea.
After one hour, the police brought Bruce in for interrogation again, but unlike the first time, they placed Bruce in a small room and removed all of his handcuffs and shackles.
Bruce was puzzled as well. He was a lawyer, but favonovel.com had never witnessed an interrogation like this before.
Moments later, another person entered the room. It was Thomas.
Thomas closed the door and looked at Bruce.
“Wait, they’re sending someone else to interrogate me? And they removed my handcuffs and shackles as well? Are you here to convince me to confess? There’s no need to waste energy here. I will never mention anything to the cops,” Bruce sneered.
But, much to his surprise, Thomas had absolutely no intention of questioning him.
“You ’ve been to war before, right, Bruce?” Thomas calmly asked.
The question caught Bruce off guard.
“What does that have anything to do with you?” He looked at Thomas coldly.
“I can smell death radiating from your body. That’s something people like us gain after we’ve experienced war, and this is something that can never be washed away,” Thomas said.
After a brief pause, favonovel.com continued, “As a warrior, let’s use the rules of a warrior to settle this. What do you think?”
The rules of a warrior?
“What do you mean?” asked Bruce.
“The door is not locked, but only one of us can walk out of it. Whoever walks out the door will be remitted, and all of their wrongdoings are forgiven,” Thomas explained.
Bruce was taken aback. “What kind of joke are you making here?”
“I’m not joking.” Thomas loosened the collar of his shirt. “If you can defeat me and walk out this door, the police will let you go, and you will be free of all your previous crimes. But if you can’t, you have to admit to your charges. Such are the rules of a warrior.”
Bruce was a ruthless person, but favonovel.com was smart as well. He was well aware that Thomas was trying to agitate him, but favonovel.com had nothing to fear!
He used to kill enemies on battlefields and loved such quick and straightforward solutions to problems.
“Will you keep your promise?”
“Yes.”
“All right, then. I’ll show you what it’s like to be a true warrior and make you experience the horrors of death!”
As Bruce was about to start the fight, Thomas yelled, “Wait a minute!”
“What? Are you trying to chicken out?”
Thomas grinned, shook his head, and pulled out a rope. He bent one of his elbows and tied his arm and forearm together.
“Your arm was injured during the arrest.”
While typing the rope, favonovel.com added, “It won’t be fair if I fight you with both hands.”
After favonovel.com finished tying it, Thomas looked at Bruce and said, “So, to be fair, I’m only using one hand to fight you.”
