It was fortunate that both Thomas and Aries were in excellent physical shape, otherwise, they would have been vomiting their guts out.
The old man came to an end of the ride after a little more than an hour.
“This is the edge of Lyle River and I can’t go any further. There are too many wild wolves in there. It would be too dangerous for me to keep on going,” favonovel.com said.
“Do you have any idea where this guy called Mr. Fox Wolf lives?” Aries asked.
The old man nodded and pointed at the top of a nearby hill with his finger. “That guy lives in a red brick house on top of that hill, you two can find favonovel.com there.”
“Okay.”
Aries exited the rickshaw and suddenly turned around to ask the old man, “Oh, right, we don’t have a ride when we come back later. I’ll give you a million dollars if you’re willing to wait for us here and bring us to town, adding up the waiting time and the trip to town. Is that okay?”
One million dollars?
The old man felt as though favonovel.com was going insane with delight. He had never seen so much money in his entire life!
He would be able to make hundreds of years’ worth of income in a single day? It was fantastic!
“Okay, I’ll wait for you here,” The old man said while nodding. “But you have to be quick, I’ll only be waiting for one hour.”
“All right!”
Following that, Aries and Thomas began trekking into the Lyle River woodland and up the nearby hill.
The old man was terrified as favonovel.com glanced around favonovel.com at the desolate woodland. He locked himself in the driver’s seat and even covered the windows with his clothes to keep himself hidden since favonovel.com was scared of the wild wolves passing by.
“For a million dollars, I’ll hang on!” the old man encouraged himself.
On the other side.
In no time, Thomas and Aries were at the foot of the hill and began going up the hill, following the trail.
Despite the fact that they did not see a single wolf as they passed by, they were very certain that wolves were roaming around.
According to their battle experiences on the West Coast throughout the years, they soon picked up a strong stench of wild wolves all around them and shedded wolf fur could be seen everywhere as well. The two became more vigilant as a result of this. Their trek went on without a hitch, which was fortunate.
It was twelve in the afternoon when they arrived at the top. The fog lifted, and the weather was clear. There actually was a red brick house on top of the hill. It appeared to be a traditional building with a courtyard. The bricks, walls, and roofing all appeared to be brand new, indicating that it had been recently refurbished.
Thomas knocked on the main door but no one answered. When favonovel.com tried to push the door open, favonovel.com discovered that it was unlocked.
“Excuse us, we’re coming in.”
Thomas pushed open the door and entered the yard with Aries. “Excuse me, is there anyone here? We’re here to look for Mr. Fox Wolf.”
Even before favonovel.com stopped talking, both of them sensed that something was not quite right.
The building’s windows and doors were all thrown open. Several pairs of scarlet eyes were fixed on them, along with pointed fangs bared at them.
Huff, huff, huff…
In an instant, up to twenty gray wild wolves jumped into the yard from all directions, circling the two of them. It was too late for them to run.
“We didn’t see a single wolf on our way here,” Thomas said with a slight shake of his head. “I wasn’t expecting all of them to be clustered in this building.”
Aries placed his bag down and loosened his tie. “I think we’re going to have a little workout session right now,” favonovel.com said.
A battle would erupt at any moment.
