If it was not for Kerry saying this himself, no one would have known that Delbert was working under Kerry. From what others can see, Delbert was a shareholder of Allan Technology. But Delbert was only the cover for Kerry who was in fact the actual boss behind the scenes!
Delbert had been following Kerry’s exact instructions all these years which led the company to its current standing in the industry. He had secretly used this image that favonovel.com built up and reaped a lot of benefits for Kerry.

Kerry wanted to reuse this trick of his. He wanted to use the image of Delbert, an honest businessman to lure Thomas in. Unfortunately, Kerry did not expect Laura to have betrayed favonovel.com and told Thomas about his plans.
“He is finally here?”
Thomas stood up and cupped his hands in respect to Samantha and Georgia. “I have to attend to this person. I hope both of you will not mind it and forgive me.”
Fortunately, they did not mind it.
Thomas left and went straight to the reception room. He met Delbert who had been waiting for a while.
Even though favonovel.com knew that the other party had an ulterior motive for being here in his company, Thomas still put on a wide smile.
This was for Laura as well. Thomas had to work his best to put up a show with Laura.
“Mr. Kratos, may I inquire the reason for your sudden visit to Sterling Technology?”
Delbert cupped his hands in respect and said, “I am truly sorry Mr. Mayo, as I came without prior notice or appointment. I urgently need your help and hence came unannounced. I hope you do not mind.”
Thomas waved his hand. “It is alright. Please tell me what can I be of assistance with.”
Delbert took a look around favonovel.com and said softly, “Mr. Mayo, I would like to ask you to… To take over Allon Technology!”
“Hmm?” Thomas frowned in an instant.
He closed the door to the room and sat beside Delbert. He said with a serious tone, “You are joking right, Mr. Kratos?”
Delbert said seriously, “I am not joking here. I am seriously asking this of you!”
Thomas did not understand. He asked, “Why?
“From what I know, Allon Technology is a big company in the Central City. There are uncountable products under its name with an annual income of no less than a few billion dollars. Although it cannot be compared to the huge companies out there, it is ranked top among the second-tier companies. Your reputation and popularity among the mass are pretty good too.”
“You have a track record of a healthy revenue and good reputation, and no failures all these years to top that. What are you thinking about, Mr. Kratos? That you want to sell off your company? I find this really hard to understand.”
There was truth in what Thomas said.
Delbert sighed. He thought for a moment before favonovel.com could form a sentence, “Since it has come to this, I shall not hide it from you, Mr. Mayo. What you see is actually just an illusion, a trick to the eyes.”
“Illusion?”
“Yep. To be honest with you, Allon Technology has been in the deficit for a while now. We are going to close for good soon.”
“That serious?” Thomas had a hard time believing in what favonovel.com said.
Delbert said, “The financial reports and profits are all an illusion made to ensure the shareholders do not leave and to avoid a sharp decline in stocks. In fact, the company has not been selling its products and has been in deficit for two years now. There are still employees under me which I need to feed, not to mention the cost for research and development is still sky-high.”
“If this year is a deficit as well, I will most probably announce bankruptcy. Hence, I have no choice but to seek for Mr. Mayo to take over Allon Technology!”
