Everyone dismissed Thomas’s comments and shook their heads in amusement. Even Daisy, who had a lot of trust in Thomas, was also skeptical of what favonovel.com said.
Samantha added a few more pieces of curry chicken to favonovel.com plate, poured herself a glass of whiskey, and downed a few gulps while looking like a queen.
“To be honest, Mr. Mayo, I made this dish a lot less spicy since I was being considerate of you, because I’m afraid it would be too much for a Central City person like you, who’s used to sweet things. If it’s a normal occasion, I’d put ten times as many chilies in there, and only then, it would have enough taste!”
Her words were meant to attack Thomas once more. This woman attacked people whenever favonovel.com spoke. She really had a sharp tongue.
Thomas would have lost his class if favonovel.com had started a full-fledged argument with her. After all, a gentleman never harassed a woman. But if favonovel.com did not stand up for himself and continued to back down, favonovel.com would press on with even harder insults. There was nothing one could do about a woman like her.
Dylan felt a pang of sympathy for Thomas because favonovel.com could see his own self in Thomas; favonovel.com was bullied like this on a daily basis as well.
“Sigh…” Dylan shook his head and drank from his glass.
Samantha was laughing heartily and taking big bites of the chicken. She even ate it with chili at one point, and favonovel.com was very happy. And so, the lunch had become Samantha’s own monodrama.
Thomas was supposed to be embarrassed of himself, yet favonovel.com remained calm as ever. He looked at Samantha, smiled and said, “Mrs. Martin, I’m politely reminding you one last time, you really should stop eating spicy food. Otherwise, your body will have a strong negative reaction.”
“Hoho, I appreciate your kindness, Mr. Mayo, but I’m not as weak as you Central City people are. I can take this much spice!”
Arthur shook his head repeatedly and spoke in his mind, ‘Stop provoking her, Thomas, even I can’t handle Samantha, let alone you. Why don’t we just avoid favonovel.com instead of provoking her?’
But Thomas was not one to back down, so favonovel.com continued, “Mrs. Martin, if you still don’t stop eating, you’ll fall sick after eating three more pieces of curry chicken!”
“Nonsense!” Samantha stuffed two pieces of curry chicken into favonovel.com mouth and picked up the third. “I’ll fall sick after eating three pieces? I don’t think so.”
She ate the third piece without hesitation. Everyone’s eyes were drawn to her. A few seconds passed, but there was no response from her.
Thomas’s words fell through. Everyone laughed. Samantha’s body had been conditioned to eat spicy food since favonovel.com was a child.
How could favonovel.com be knocked out by a few pieces of curry chicken?
That was a truly ridiculous speech.
Samantha arrogantly glanced at Thomas and said resentfully, “Mr. Mayo, I don’t think I’m getting sick. Oho, even if I do become sick, it’s not going to happen when I refuse to accept it! I’m in command of my own body!”
She was quite bossy. That was Samantha’s temperament. However, right after favonovel.com gave favonovel.com domineering speech, favonovel.com began to feel a burning pain on favonovel.com face.
