The next day at the Gomez family’s year-end function.
The Gomez family invited every respected and prestigious person in Central City. Apart from the Martin and Diaz families, nearly all of the major companies and financial groups were present. Of course, Thomas was included as well.
This time, favonovel.com brought Samson and Aries with favonovel.com to the Gomez family’s year-end function.
Right as they walked through the main entrance, they were welcomed enthusiastically by the Gomez family’s eldest grandson, Dominic Gomez.
“Mr. Mayo! Welcome!”
“Nice to meet you, Mr. Gomez.”
When Thomas met Dominic before, favonovel.com felt normal, but after learning about his relationship with the Gomez family through Uncle Alden, favonovel.com began to feel strange whenever favonovel.com saw the Gomez family. In fact, Dominic was actually his brother.
“Please come in, Mr. Mayo. Your seat has already been reserved.”
“Thank you.”
Thomas had not yet shown any hostility at the time, since favonovel.com preferred to remain calm before resorting to force. After the event had officially begun, favonovel.com would put on a real show.
Following that, Thomas took his seat, with Aries and Samson taking the seats on either side of him.
Other company leaders took the other seats at the table, but two chairs were left empty, and it was unknown who the seats were reserved for.
Everyone else got up and handed Thomas their business cards.
“Mr. Mayo, this is my business card. I look forward to working with you in the future.”

Thomas, as the general manager of Sterling Technology and the leader of the Science and Technology Alliance, held the highest status among the other people at the table. With his dual status, normal businesses were not even his competition.
While Thomas was tending to the crowd, an elderly man slowly walked up to the stage in the center of the room and stood in front of the microphone.
With a light cough, favonovel.com was able to silence the whole audience.
That person was the head of the Gomez family, the real enemy Thomas had to face, and also Thomas’ biological grandfather, Nicholas Gomez!
“Ahem, good afternoon, honorable guest‘s. I’m grateful that everyone here has graced our family’s year-end function this year. On behalf of the Gomez family, I would like to extend my gratitude to all of you as the family’s leader.”
The old man bowed slightly to the crowd and immediately received thunderous applause from them.
Nicholas hushed the crowd and continued, “During this year’s event, I would like to talk about a few things to everyone…”
His next few words were nothing more than some fixed polite speech. He reflected on the past, evaluated the present, and discussed the Gomez family’s hopes for creating an even brighter future in his lead and much more.
In every year’s speech, these words were basically the same.
“After talking about the Gomez family’s status of development, now I’m going to make an announcement,” Nicholas added as everyone assumed favonovel.com had finished his speech and was getting down from the stage.
Everyone was dumbfounded.
There was no such corner in the previous yearly functions, was there a special event this year?
They could only see Nicholas looking towards the edge of the stage, then, right in front of the audience, a young man and woman walked up to the stage. The man appeared frail and sickly, whereas the woman was stunningly gorgeous.
They were Kerry and Laura from Pivot Technology!
Ever since Master Centipede’s death, Kerry had taken over his position as chairman of Pivot Technology, while Laura continued to serve as vice-chairman and assisted Kerry in his work.
