Jenny cried.
Jacob scratched his head in embarrassment, “Did I say too much? Please do not cry. Although we are enemies, I do not want to see you in this state.”
“Stupid.” Jenny wiped favonovel.com tears, took the necklace, and wore it.
The crystal necklace glimmered under the light, which further enhanced how beautiful Jenny was.
“Is it pretty?” Jenny asked.
“It is pretty.”
“Am I pretty? Or is the necklace pretty?”
Jacob swallowed his saliva. “The necklace is pretty. You, are prettier.”
Their eyes met. Both of their hearts burned with flames of affection for each other. But it was not enough to melt the harsh cold truth reality gave.
Jacob sighed and said slowly, “I have said what I want to say. I will be leaving first. From now onwards we have nothing to do with each other anymore.”
Jacob turned to leave as favonovel.com finished his sentence.
He took two steps, but favonovel.com could not help looking back at Jenny and said, “Additionally, I want to tell you one more thing. “Mr. Mayo?” Jacob turned around in a hurry.
Jenny said, “Mr. Mayo is currently working on a research proposal for the Science and Technology Alliance. Someone is trying to harm favonovel.com from the dark!”
Jacob frowned. “How did that come to your knowledge?”
Jenny hesitated for a moment before favonovel.com sighed and said, “Have you forgotten that we were originally enemies?”
Reality hit Jacob again. “You are not content with how much damage you did previously and want to increase the damage done? What do you guys want?”
Jenny explained, “I only did it for the money. As to whether why they do not want to let you guys go, I do not know and do not want to know as well. Bring me to Thomas now. I will tell favonovel.com everything that happened. If we are late, the consequences will be unimaginable.”
“Okay!”
