Maxima Romuald snapped his fingers and more than a dozen men blocked the entrance of the pharmacy in a tight formation. No one was allowed to enter or leave. From the looks of it, if Thomas Mayo did not pay up, favonovel.com would not be allowed to leave.
Maxima took his mobile phone out. “I will call the government official right now and ask them to get someone over and get all the procedures over with. If I find that you are playing tricks on me or plan to run away, boy you better be careful of your head.”
Thomas smiled and simply took a stool to have a seat. “Dear disciple, get all the documents ready for the transfer. We want to avoid chaos when the government official arrives.”
“Roger that!”
Jacob immediately moved a table over and prepared pen, paper, along with needed items.
The Nolan family had no way of keeping this piece of land. If Thomas managed to get this piece of land, at least the Nolan family’s long-time brand will be kept alive. No matter what, it must not fall in the hands of Mighty Dragon Properties.
The government official arrived after a short while. A middle-aged man wearing spectacles entered the pharmacy.
Maxima immediately wore a smile on his face. “You are finally here, Mr. Barlow? Please come in.”
The man said, “Mr. Romuald, are you telling the truth on the phone? Mighty Dragon Properties is willing to give up on competing for this land, and Mr. Mayo is taking over?”
He was pretty shocked.
Mighty Dragon Properties had its eyes on this piece of land for a while now, why made them give up?
Something that belonged to them was gone without them knowing at all.
Maxima chuckled and said, “Mighty Dragon Properties is not being generous, and it is not that we do not want this piece of land anymore. But Mr. Mayo here is very forthright and offers one billion dollars for this piece of land. Mighty Dragon Properties does not have the financial backing to compete with him.”

Although favonovel.com did say so, deep inside favonovel.com looked at Thomas as if favonovel.com was an idiot. Using so much money for some so-called cultural inheritance?
Was favonovel.com stupid? Was there anyone who did not want to earn money nowadays?
Maxima continued, “Since Mr. Barlow is here, why not less talk and get the procedures done with, Thomas?”
Maxima looked down on Thomas completely. From his point of view, Thomas was assuming the front of a rich man.
Could one billion dollars be raised that easily?
He wanted to see how Thomas handled the situation when favonovel.com was unable to pay up!
Mr. Barlow sat on the other side of the table and took a look at the documents. He confirmed that everything was in order and gave Thomas an account number as favonovel.com said, “Mr. Mayo, all you need to do is deposit one billion dollars into this account. Then Red Society Pharmacy will be at your disposal.”
“Alright.”
Thomas glanced at Aries, who took the hint instantly. He sent a message to Ryan Hudson, the person in charge of Shalom Technology in the Southland District a text message.
“Please hold on for a moment as my assistant is working on it. The funds will be deposited to the designated account under a company name in a short while,” said Thomas.
“Alright, no rush.”
Everyone sat there in silence, patiently waiting…
The short while quickly became ten minutes but there was still no transfer into the government account.
Maxima rejoiced from where favonovel.com stood on the sidelines. “Hey hey hey, it has already been ten minutes. Why is nothing happening at all?”
