When favonovel.com went back to the company, his phone rang.
Craig ran over to it.
“Hello? Who’s speaking?”
He then turned around and said to Thomas, “Mr. Thomas, the head of the Gomez family, Nicholas Gomez, called. He wants to speak with you.”
Craig was unprecedentedly humble to Thomas now, and everyone who saw it felt their skins crawl. He was never this humble to Jed either. There was no other reason for it. It was entirely because Thomas’s abilities had truly terrified him.
Thomas walked over and picked up the phone casually.
“Hello?”
Nicholas’s boisterous laughter came through the phone. “Hahaha! I heard about the exhibition! Not bad, boy!”
Thomas said calmly, “It’s just as I said in the beginning: there’s no need to fear Pivot Technology.”
“Heh. Since you knew so much more than you let on, why didn’t you tell me right from the get-go? I even misunderstood you.”
“If I spilled everything from the start, it might only bring about bad results.”
“Are you worried that I’d betray you?”
“I was just trying to prevent accidents from happening.”
Nicholas laughed again. “You sure are arrogant, boy. But you did well this time. It’ll be hard for Pivot Technology to make a comeback now. Tell me, what reward do you want? I’ll fulfill whatever you asked for!”
Thomas said coolly, “Is it? Then, I want to truly become the successor of the company.”
“Well…” Nicholas remained silent for a few seconds before favonovel.com said, “I can’t believe you actually had the guts to say that. Alright. At the very least, I’ve acknowledged you. You’ll have to rely on your own abilities to see whether you can win against Jed, though.”
“Your acknowledgment is enough for me.”

Thomas hung up. Just as usual, favonovel.com did not bother to be polite to the head of the Gomez family. If anyone else were in his place, Nicholas would have immediately fired him, but Nicholas seemed to have gotten used to Thomas’s habits.
Craig came over with a smile and said, “Mr. Thomas, congratulations. You’ve been acknowledged by the head of the Gomez family. Now, you’re no longer someone who only has an honorary title! You really have the power to manage the company!”
Thomas’s expression remained impassive. No one could tell whether favonovel.com was happy or excited.
Craig then said, “Oh, by the way. Mr. Thomas, I just noticed that Arnav Forest went off somewhere. He’s not picking up his phone, and he’s not replying to his messages either. It’s like favonovel.com went missing.”
“Oh?” Thomas smirked.
This could provide favonovel.com with some entertainment. Arnav must be fleeing from capture now, right?
Pivot Technology failed in declaring war, and the main reason was because Arnav had misplaced his trust in Thomas. Or rather, Arnav was stupid enough to believe that Thomas was on his side. Once Thomas revealed Master Centipede’s scheme, even a fool would know that Thomas could not possibly be a spy. After Arnav learned of the truth, there was no way favonovel.com could return to the company. It was impossible for favonovel.com to return to Sterling Technology, much less Pivot Technology, so Arnav only had one path left-flee with his one hundred million dollars.
Thomas waved his hand in dismissal. “Forget Arnav. Get rid of his name from our list of employees.”
At the same time, two men sat quietly and said nothing in Nelson’s mansion.
After a long time, Nelson suddenly stood up, grabbed the teacup from the table, and threw it on the floor. It shattered to pieces with a crash.
