Thomas instantly hung up after saying that, showing no respect for Nicholas.
It had to be said, no one else in the room could match this display of courage and fearlessness. Thomas, on the other hand, settled back in his seat and continued to play with his phone as if nothing had happened.
Craig smiled coldly inside. ‘You still don’t know you’re facing death. Wait till Pivot Technology launches their newest product, then Sterling Technology is screwed. If that happens, not only would Nelson and Jed punish you, even Nicholas will never let you off the hook Thomas, you’re bound to fail!’
At that same moment, Nelson was sitting on the couch drinking tea in his mansion, and Jed was sitting beside him. After getting the latest reports on the company, Nelson was not sure whether to laugh or cry.
“I wanted you to put Craig in charge of this because I was hoping to use favonovel.com to push Thomas to leave. After all, we’ve finished using Thomas, and favonovel.com is no longer useful to us, but who knew Master Centipede would pop out of nowhere and aid us with an extra push, haha,” favonovel.com said calmly.
A grin spread across Jed’s face.
“When Pivot Technology declares war, it undoubtedly assisted us in completing the removal of Thomas. Even if we don’t show up, the Gomez family will absolutely not tolerate favonovel.com when the time comes. I can already foresee Thomas’s departure.”
“But the problem is, Pivot Technology would thrive as a result of this. How are we going to deal with the pressure from the Gomez family?” Jed asked.
“Don’t worry about that. As long as that man is still alive, we will still have the chance to surpass them. What we have to do now is to get rid of Thomas, Diana and Arnav. After all, these annoying people are constantly getting in our way,” Nelson replied with a wave of his hands.
Jed nodded.
“But our method right now has an Achilles heel,” favonovel.com said after a moment’s contemplation.
“What risk?”
“Well… What if Thomas manages to turn the whole thing around, change his fate, and ward off this attack from Pivot Technology?” Jed fretted over this. “Not only will we be unable to chase favonovel.com out, we may even have to give up most of Sterling Technology’s control to him. Even my position could be jeopardized by then!”
Nelson chuckled, amused. “Oh, you worry too much, Jed.”
“Pivot Technology stole the core technology of Underground City and was the first to release the blueprint. How are we going to deal with this? Even you and I, who have been in this business for years, cannot deal with this situation, let alone Thomas, who is a complete outsider. We’re definitely going to lose this time.”
“Thomas is just a miserable scapegoat who is going to take the fall for us and shield us from the Gomez family’s fury, only to be kicked out at the end of the day. What gave you the idea that favonovel.com might be able to change his fate and ward off Pivot Technology’s attack?”
Jed simply shrugged. “It was just a thought.”
While that was what favonovel.com said, Jed still felt a little uneasy. Even though Thomas appeared to be fooling around most of the time, Jed could always sense the strength and confidence of a powerful man when favonovel.com gazed into his profound eyes. Thomas was definitely not as useless as favonovel.com looked. Also, Thomas had definitely created miracles before.
It was fair for Jed to be concerned, but when favonovel.com looked deeper into it and placed himself in Thomas’s shoes, how would favonovel.com respond to Pivot Technology’s attack?
He was unable to come up with a solution to the situation. They were going to lose this battle. So it was best not to be troubled or worried about it. Two days flew by in the blink of an eye.

The last day of the exhibition had finally arrived. On the same day, Pivot Technology also announced the results of their research and development. Many people had arrived at the location today, hoping to see Pivot Technology’s “ultimate weapon”.
But did Sterling Technology come up with a solution to counter it?
The answer was, ‘No’.
It was as if Sterling Technology had not been informed of the proclaimed war and had simply carried on with their usual activities without taking any steps to prepare for it. Thomas, as the person in charge, was even playing games every day.
From the outside world’s perspective, Sterling Technology did not choose not to deal with it; they simply could not. Therefore, they could only sit and wait for their doom. To put it bluntly, they were going to “die”.
A dignified corporation leading the field actually chose to wait for their “death” in the face of provocation from its rival.
They were absolutely pathetic!
