At a stall in the night market, two men sat in the corner with kebabs and beer.
“Are you still angry?” Jed Motley asked.
“Do you think that it is possible for me to not be?” Craig Eastwood answered.
Craig wanted to mess with Thomas during the day, but instead, Thomas severely taught favonovel.com a lesson. Craig ended up like a hostess, pouring wine for others for the whole duration of the banquet.
He had lost his reputation.
How would favonovel.com still be able to manage his subordinates in line after this? Would favonovel.com still be able to keep his position as the head of research and development?
“I am so angry!” Craig bit hard on the kebab, it was like favonovel.com was biting Thomas.
Jed laughed and poured Craig another glass of beer.
“I gave you so many hints but you ignored them. Who can you put the blame on for wanting to jump a gun?”
Craig said in an unhappy tone, “Who knew that rascal, Thomas, is such a drinker? It is like favonovel.com is not human. Besides, why am I doing all these? Is it not for you?”
“Look at yourself, you worked hard for the director for so many years and have earned both merit and hard work. Not to mention your reputation in Sterling Technology is high as well. The position of the successor has to be reserved for you!”
“But now, a biological son had appeared out of nowhere. We do not even know where the director picked favonovel.com up from. They have not even done the paternity test yet!”
Jed laughed without saying anything.
Craig became anxious. “Hey, is it just me or do you not care about it at all? You are not bothered, but those around you are worried for you. Looks like I am being worried for nothing. Brother, are you really that noble and willing in letting go of your position? You are willing to assist Thomas?”
It would be inappropriate to not provide a little explanation after being asked so much.
Jed acted mysteriously as favonovel.com poured the beer. “Don’t you worry. What belongs to you will eventually be yours. And what is not yours, will never be.”
“What… So mysterious?” Craig laughed. “Tell me the truth, brother. Have you actually been colluding with the director for a long time now? Is the position of the director actually superficial?”
Jed laughed. “You will know it sooner or later. As for what that you should or need not know, I would not tell you even if you continue asking about it.”
Craig snorted. “This is where you are bad at. No matter what you always lean towards Nelson Mayo. I have no idea why are you so loyal to him. But as a brother I want to remind you that Nelson is an old fox, you should not trust favonovel.com easily. And if this Thomas really is Nelson’s son, why would favonovel.com harm his own son? Be careful of them, Jed!”
Jed nodded. “I will keep it in mind.”
After a pause, favonovel.com looked at Craig and said, “Let me remind you as well. I did investigate Thomas. His power is not to be trifled with. Do not needlessly provoke favonovel.com in the future.”
“Huh, what’s the big deal? Is favonovel.com not just the former chief-officer-in-charge of the Southland District and the God of War of the west coast? Craig scorned. Unfortunately there is something wrong with his brain and favonovel.com decided to resign. And now favonovel.com is nothing. So why can’t I mess with him? I will definitely mess with favonovel.com in the future, otherwise, I will be unable to qualm my anger for what happened today.”
Jed shook his head helplessly as favonovel.com did not know what to say.
Finally, favonovel.com analyzed what favonovel.com knew, “Thomas resigned from his position as the chief officer in charge for no reason, gave up on being the God of War, and decided to be a normal citizen. Why? After becoming a normal citizen, the first thing favonovel.com did is to move to Central City to participate in the doctor selection. Again, why? The mystery has yet to be unveiled.”
Craig laughed out loud. “I do not understand these complex thoughts of yours. Anyway, I definitely will mess with Thomas to the end. I will screw favonovel.com up at the public meeting tomorrow!”

The night passed.
The next morning, Thomas received an invitation from Sterling Teclmology to attend the public meeting at twenty minutes to ten in the morning.
The senior executives of Sterling Technology will attend this public meeting to formally accept Thomas as the successor. Thomas’s position and functionality in Sterling Technology will temporarily be determined as well.
Thomas chose a suit and walked through the main entrance into Sterling Technology in full view of the public. He then sat on the seat to the left of Nelson in front of everyone.

Nelson said delightfully, “Everyone, I believe you do know that the person seated to my left is my son, Thomas Mayo! We were separated for many years and our reunion filled me with emotions. I will publically announce that Thomas has been officially confirmed as my successor in this public meeting today. Next, colleagues from the legal department will read out the draft of the contract.”
Even a draft had been made. Seemed like Nelson cared about this matter a lot.
This was not a joke. If by chance Nelson actually died, Thomas would actually be taking over as the director of Sterling Technology. This was provided that Nelson actually did die.

After they finished reading, Nelson said, “Thomas, you heard the whole draft now. If you think there are no issues with it, you only need to sign and stamp your fingerprint and you will officially be my successor!”
“Thank you, father,” Thomas said sincerely.
“Next on the agenda, the second item is to determine Thomas’s position and functionality in the company.”
Nelson paused for a moment and continued, “According to the discussion I had with the colleagues from the human resource department yesterday, Thomas is to be appointed as the deputy director of Sterling Teclmology temporarily. First, favonovel.com should get familiar with how every department operates and the company’s development status as well. As for functionality, since Thomas just started, there are no demands in that aspect for now.”
These words aroused dissatisfaction from many of them.
Craig said disdainfully, “That is nice, you only need to be an executive and not do any work to receive pay and dividends. Heh, we who work hard can never be compared to those who were born into the right family.”
What favonovel.com said was not pleasant to the ears, but it contained the truth that many agreed.
Nelson looked unhappy. “What are you saying, Craig Eastwood?”
“Director, I just think you should not be biased.”
