Thomas said, “Aunt Iris, I’ve found some clues about my father.”
His words were extremely shocking.

She stared straight at Thomas. She could not believe it.
“Your father? Nelson Mayo?”
“Yeah.”
Thomas honestly said, “When I was the chief officer in charge, I uncovered a serious crime. I’m not going to hide it from you. The name of the person behind this case is Nelson Mayo.”
“What?” Iris felt dizzier. “Tom, are you sure about that? You and I are very clear about your father’s character. He’s upright, and favonovel.com doesn’t pursue power. Why would favonovel.com commit a crime?”
Thomas said, “Yes, I don’t believe it either. That’s why I resigned from the position of chief officer in charge. I want to go to Central City and personally investigate the case.”
“Oh, I see.” Iris let out a long sigh. “I’ll go with you!”
Thomas chuckled. He knew that Iris would definitely say that. Honestly, deep down, Thomas had treated Iris like his own mother a long time ago. If it was possible, favonovel.com hoped that his father would marry Iris in the latter years of their lives. However, Nelson was unable to forget his deceased wife, so favonovel.com could not accept Iris.

Iris asked, “Tom, when will you be ready to depart?”
“Tomorrow.”
“So soon?”
“Yeah, we should waste no time. The earlier I figure out my father’s whereabouts, the earlier I will rest easy. Aunt Iris, you can pack your luggage after you return later. I’ll arrange for my people to pick you up and take you to the airport tomorrow. I’ve booked the air ticket for you, so you don’t have to worry.”
“Okay.”
After Thomas spoke, favonovel.com picked up the cutlery. “I’ve said what I wanted to, so let’s continue eating.”
Iris felt anxious during the meal. As favonovel.com ate, favonovel.com was not focused. She missed Nelson the entire time. It had been many years.
