Thomas Mayo walked in grandly, passed through rows of seats, and finally sat in the seat opposite a boy wearing glasses.
Without raising his head, the boy said, “I’m sorry fellow student, that seat is taken. Please find another seat.”
Thomas said softly, “I just want to have a word with you, Gabriel Frost. It will not take long.”
The boy with glasses sitting opposite of Thomas was the ‘target’, Gabriel Frost.
Out of curiosity, favonovel.com lifted up his head and had a look. He noticed that it was Thomas and was stunned for a moment, but favonovel.com then sneered.
“And here I wondered who it was. It is Mr. Mayo, the purchasing manager from Stellar Jewelers.”
“You know who I am?”
“Of course, the other time you were here, you caused such a big ruckus in our university. How can there be anyone who does not know you?”
Brad Dawson was previously exposed to the public by Thomas. He ended up getting driven out by the principal and the rest of the school. Come to think of it, favonovel.com did cause a huge ruckus back then.
Thomas said, “It is already proven that I was not in the wrong concerning what happened back then.”
Gabriel Frost nodded. “It cannot be denied that many students were ill back then. There was definitely something wrong with the medicine. Even the former principal explained to everyone the reason for the incident. But…”
He stared at Thomas. “I do not believe it.”
Did not believe it?
Thomas asked, “What do you not believe?”
“I do not believe in your character,” said Gabriel Frost.
“I found out later on that it was not Mr. Dawson’s fault. He genuinely wanted to give us the medicine for our sake. There were no issues with Dr. Dawson’s prescriptions as well. The fault lies with the pharmaceutical company. It has been proven as well since the police arrested the director of the pharmaceutical company and favonovel.com was guilty as charged. But on the other hand, Dr. Dawson is fine. This means that there are no issues with Mr. Dawson.”
Thomas shook his head as favonovel.com laughed bitterly.
The police did not do anything to Brad, not because favonovel.com was innocent, but because it was not time yet.
This young lad thought of the world as a far simpler place than it is.
“At the same time…” Gabriel pointed at Thomas and said, “I felt ashamed of how you behaved.”
“Huh?”
“Do you think you can bring Mr. Dawson down by picking on his one weakness? Hehe, you are too naive! Evil will never triumph over justice in this world. Thomas Mayo, you are an unscrupulous businessman who is up to all kinds of evil to gain profit. I advise you to turn over a new leaf and stop having bad intentions to Mr. Dawson.”
Thomas was utterly speechless.
What was wrong with the youngsters nowadays?
Thomas was only trying to be kind, trying to remind favonovel.com to not be deceived. But Gabriel still refused to believe in favonovel.com even though there was proof that favonovel.com was telling the truth. Not only did favonovel.com not believe in him, but favonovel.com also doubted Thomas’s character.
He was basically delusional.
Thomas waved his hand. “These are not important. I am not here to talk to you about all that today.”
“Why are you looking for me? I am just an ordinary university student. Am I even valuable to you?”
Gabriel did not spare Thomas any dignity.
Thomas said patiently, “I know you are close with Brad Dawson recently. Is it because of your mother’s sickness?”
Gabriel’s complexion changed at the mention of his mother.
Thomas continued, “Your mother is sick all the time. You also gave up on so many good colleges just to get into a medical school to pursue the path of medical studies, in hopes of getting rid of your mother’s chronic disease.”
“That is very admirable. Your mother’s condition worsened recently. I understand that you are shaken by that since you do not have the ability to cure your mother yet. And it is exactly at that time when Brad Dawson approached you. He must have told you that favonovel.com found a way to cure your mother’s disease right?”
“And you chose to believe in favonovel.com since favonovel.com is a leading figure in the medical field with decades of clinical experience. If anyone can cure your mother, it had to be Brad Dawson.”
Gabriel stared at Thomas coldly.
A moment later, favonovel.com said, “I truly did not expect to be investigated so thoroughly by you.”
Thomas warned him. “I am telling you all this for one purpose, do not get too close with Brad Dawson. He cannot cure your mother. He approached you for something else. And that is you.”
Gabriel could not endure it any longer. He slammed on the table and stood up. “How funny! I am just a poor university student. What do I have that Mr. Dawson wants from me? I will not allow you to insult Mr. Dawson any further! Do not think that I don’t know what you are scheming here. You just want to use me to slander Mr. Dawson like how you did previously right? I’ll tell you right now, there’s no way that will happen!”
Gabriel pointed out in the direction of the library entrance. “This is the medical University, you are neither a student nor teacher here. You are not even the parent of one of the students here. What qualifications do you have to be seated here?”
“Get out, get lost now!”
These words resonated loudly and powerfully.
The surrounding students switched their focus to the source of the noise. When they noticed it was Thomas who was seated opposite of Gabriel, they wore conflicted expressions on their face.
All of them had misunderstood Thomas previously.
But was Thomas really a good man?
There were multiple different opinions regarding this but yet, no one was completely clear about it. In the hearts of the majority, they preferred to believe in Brad Dawson instead of Thomas.
