Emma was suddenly speechless.
Gold Jerrod was the sponsor for the hospital, so favonovel.com could do whatever favonovel.com wanted to and act out of line here?
What kind of logic was that?
“You, you…” Emma looked at them, unable to utter another word due to anger.
Thomas, seeing how things escalated, shook his head as favonovel.com smiled bitterly. He then lifted his quilt and got out of bed. As favonovel.com wore his shoes, favonovel.com said, “Told you I did not need to be hospitalized. How troublesome. Forget it, let’s leave.”
Thomas went over, took Emma’s hand, and led favonovel.com out. It was useless no matter how angry Emma was. This was his territory. No matter how much favonovel.com complained, the doctor and nurses would not bat an eyelid Gold Jerrod said delightfully, “You are willing to get lost at last? Tch, you should have got lost earlier. The doctor bowed and said, “There are no other patients in this ward now. Rest assured Mr. Gold, we will not arrange for patients to be admitted to this ward anymore. Don’t worry.”

The doctor and nurse left the ward and closed the door behind them.

Thomas Mayo and Emma Hill were back in their car. Emma slammed hard on the steering wheel angrily, venting all favonovel.com frustration.
“Hubby, what is wrong with this world? Can the rich really do whatever they want to disregarding the rules?”
Thomas held favonovel.com hand. “Of course not.”
Emma shook favonovel.com head. “From what I can see, that seems to be the case! The rich do whatever they want while everyone beneath them would fawn over them and do everything to earn their favor. These rules and systems only apply to ordinary people!”
Thomas said as favonovel.com smiled, “Alright now, don’t be angry and say such things. The society operates based on the law, no one can defy and trample on it as they wish.”
He smiled mysteriously after a short pause. “Emma, I would like to make a bet with you.”
Emma turned and looked at Thomas. “Bet on what?”
“Within an hour, Gold Jerrod and this hospital will be punished and fined for breaking the law and trampling on the system.”
“How can that be possible?” Emma refused to believe in what favonovel.com heard.
“Want to bet?”
“Sure, who’s afraid of who?” Emma was taken aback for a short while. “So what happens to the loser?”
Thomas put up a naughty smile and said, “If I lose, I will be your ‘slave’ for a month my dear wife, whatever you want me to do, I shall do it without a single complaint.”
Emma, satisfied with what favonovel.com said, nodded. “Well, that sounds good to me. So what if I lose?”
“If you lose…” Thomas’s gaze wandered up and down on favonovel.com body. “Then you will need to give birth to my baby.”
“You… Rascal!” Emma’s face was as red as a baboon’s backside as favonovel.com beat Thomas repeatedly, feeling hot all over.
But thinking about it, Emma too cannot hold it in any longer. Her love for Thomas was overflowing to the extent favonovel.com really hoped to bear his offspring and turn them into a true married couple.
As they were play-fighting, a white government official vehicle stopped at the entrance of the hospital. A group of unknown people, looking stern, walked into the hospital. The doctors and nurses on duty were shocked. Some even phoned the director of the hospital.
“Who are they?” Emma asked curiously.
“People from the Healthcare department,” Thomas said.
Thomas had once said that no one would be allowed to bully Emma. So, favonovel.com will never hold back against Gold Jerrod and this hospital. He had informed Samson Wood earlier to arrange for someone to head over for a thorough investigation.
For a hospital with such poor practice that trampled on the established laws, they must be made to suffer the consequences.
The two of them were akin to the audience watching a movie, silently seated in the car, enjoying the scene before them. It was very lively indeed.
The hospital which was ‘asleep’ was awoken.
Under the unexpected inspection of the Healthcare department, they found that there were a lot of aspects that did not meet the standards. A patient smoking in the ward was quickly overlooked as there were far more severe issues in the hospital.
This hospital was full of ‘pests’.
The final result was, the hospital had its operations suspended for three months and be fined five hundred million dollars. The current patients were to be transferred and all the expenses incurred would be borne by the hospital. Because of this, the hospital was done for and would be unable to get back to its feet for the next few years.
“They deserve it!” Emma laughed heartily, all the negative emotion pent up within being released.
But it was not over.
A police vehicle came by when the Healthcare department guys were still around. A few policemen came down and rushed into the hospital.
“Why is the police here too?” Emma asked out of curiosity.
“Who knows? Maybe someone disregarded the law and committed a crime. That’s why the policemen came for him,” Thomas said.
But in fact, it had all been arranged by him.
Gold Jerrod was not an entrepreneur. He was a smuggler who had been blacklisted by Thomas long ago. Thomas had been waiting for a long time for a chance to get rid of him.
Since Gold Jerrod had deliberately provoked Thomas, favonovel.com was asking for it. And since favonovel.com had asked for it, why should Thomas wait any longer?
