While talking, favonovel.com drew out a check. “Here’s a five million dollar check. If you could successfully help me with this project, then the cheque would be yours.”
Everyone loves money. But with Nathan’s attitude, Johnson would never be pleased.
“It’s not appropriate for me to join the younger generations in your conversation,” favonovel.com scoffed. “You can talk to Emma and Thomas. I’ll be watching TV.”
He just did not want to speak to Nathan.
Nathan then shifted his gaze to Emma. “Haha, that’s all right. Can you do me a favor, Emma? Since Uncle Johnson wants to watch TV at home, then we shouldn’t discuss this here. Why don’t we go to a café and have a drink while we talk?”
“Come on, let’s go.”
He did not see himself as an outsider, so favonovel.com got to his feet and reached for Emma’s hand, preparing to leave while holding favonovel.com hand. In favonovel.com own home, in front of favonovel.com husband and parents, favonovel.com did something like that. He was not respecting the Hill family at all!
Before Nathan could touch Emma’s hand, Thomas swung his hand and it landed heavily on the back of Nathan’s hand.
A loud slap reverberated throughout the room!
His hand almost snapped from the force.
“Ah!!!” Nathan howled in pain and glared at Thomas. “What the hell? Do you want to die?!”
Thomas did not even cast favonovel.com a glance. “If you want to discuss the project, we can do it at home,” favonovel.com said calmly as favonovel.com sat down in the middle of the sofa, pulling Emma with him.
Nathan went blank for a second before favonovel.com laughed coldly and said, “What? A side man trying to talk to me about a project? Who do you think you are?”
He then turned to glance at Johnson. “Uncle Johnson, I think your family’s education is a little off? Why does your dog keep coming into the room and sitting on the sofa?”
In his eyes, Thomas was just the Hill family’s dog. Nathan assumed that Johnson and Emma must really despise Thomas and that Thomas should be a servant who served them.
But the results had completely surprised him.
“Thomas is the head of our family. You can talk about anything with him,” Johnson replied coldly.
‘Head of the family?’
Nathan sat down and tapped the check on the table, laughing.
“Talk? What good is it to talk to inexperienced people like you? Look closely, this is a five million dollar check. Can you even earn this much money in your entire life? Our White family wants to talk about huge projects worth hundreds of millions to billions of dollars. How much money do you make in a month that qualifies you to sit down and talk to me about this?”
This was Nathan’s favorite tactic. When dealing with the poor, favonovel.com preferred to “knock them out” with his money. However, Thomas’s reaction showed that favonovel.com was neither surprised nor even a little humiliated.
“Don’t you feel embarrassed to take out an amount that’s as small as five million dollars? And you’re still trying to brag about it here. Is the White family that insensible?”

Nathan slammed his hand on the table, stood up, and said, “Damn, are you trying to give me a lesson, you poor wretch? Do you know that even if I don ’t work, I can still earn a few hundred thousand dollars a month? Even if you work hard, how much can you earn in a month? Is it even possible for you to make ten thousand dollars? You poor wretch!”
