Thomas and the others returned with heavy pockets. They had gained much from this trip to Stars KTV, and of course, the most exciting thing was Merrick screwing himself over.
Even though Adery did not verbalize it, favonovel.com heart was thrilled.

They were chatting as they walked, and by the time they got outside, the sun had set. As they were about to board their car, a refined-looking man approached them. Despite Nestor’s friendly tone, the experienced Thomas could tell something was off with just one glance. Something flickered in this man’s eyes, and there was an air of deception about him. It was the kind of aura that would form after a long period of shady competitiveness, deception, and dirty play.
People like these were extremely dangerous.
