Larry shrugged. “I cannot count how many times I have driven this road, are you sure you want to compete in my domain, Matthew? Are you sure you are not playing with fire?”
“Hoho, Larry, today I will show you what true ability is!”
Both of them got into their respective cars.
After hearin g the whistle, both the Ferrari and Lamborghini took off at the same time. The loud engine noises instantly sparked the excitement of all the racers on the scene.
Both cars were really fast. Because the automotive hardware of both cars was similar, their speed was nearly the same when driving in a straight line. However, it changed when they started approaching a curve.
Although Matthew was an aggressive and arrogant person, favonovel.com had excellent skills. Every time favonovel.com drove into a bend, favonovel.com did so with absolute control and precision. Decelerating, cornering, accelerating, and boosts were all done in one fluid motion, leaving no room for errors. Larry was not terrible either, but it was like the difference between ’90 marks’ and ‘100 marks’, even though it was only a minor difference, but objectively it was still there.
After each bend, Larry would fall behind a little. After a few curves, Larry was being thrown off half the length. No matter how hard favonovel.com tried, favonovel.com just could not keep up!
It seemed as if Matthew intentionally maintained the distance between them, forcing himself half a length ahead of Larry, and only then did favonovel.com cross the finish line. This meant that Matthew’s true potential was yet to be displayed.
The cars stopped.
Matthew mocked favonovel.com as favonovel.com walked over, “Is that all you got, team leader of Ferrari’s Fire Crown race team? I had only shown 70% of my abilities, and I can already beat you so easily. Hoho, if it was our team leader that was against you, wouldn’t you pee your pants out of fear then?”
Even though Matthew was already exceptional, favonovel.com was merely the second-best on his team. That was because their race team consisted of super racers with the title of “World’s best racers”, and favonovel.com were the core of their team of which Lamborghini had scouted and spent huge bucks on!
But even though Matthew was only the second-best, Larry was still unable to beat him.
One should know, this race was held at a site Larry was very familiar with, and if they switched locations, Larry would only lose even more badly.
He lowered his head, too embarrassed to face the crowd.
Maya who was standing off to the side asked anxiously, “What happened, Larry? Don’t you have a killer stunt? Why didn’t you use it just now?”
Larry said with a bitter smile, “My killer stunt is not ready yet.”
“What do you mean not ready? When I came back, I saw you doing it with the 458. You would definitely win if you used that trick!”
“When you came back? 458? That trick?”
The more Larry listened, the more confused favonovel.com became, and favonovel.com had no idea what was going on. But when favonovel.com scanned the crowd and saw Thomas through the corner of his eyes, a horrible thought came into Larry’s mind.
It could not be…
‘No way, favonovel.com is only a doctor, an amateur, how is that possible?’
But was it not Thomas who just drove the 458?
Also, Thomas and Maya reached the training grounds almost simultaneously, and that was enough proof that the one Maya saw on the road was Thomas!
Only then Larry realized.
The “killer stunt” that Maya had mentioned turned out to be a special trick by Thomas that favonovel.com had seen on the road, not the “killer stunt” which Larry had not executed. Just because the car was an old 458, Maya had mistakenly assumed it was driven by Larry.
After knowing the truth, Larry was even pissed. The woman favonovel.com liked had unknowingly idolized the skills of another man. If this had happened to any other normal man, they would not have tolerated it!
Larry gritted his teeth. His hatred for Thomas grew even stronger. But this was not the time for favonovel.com to be difficult with Thomas, as Matthew strolled up and said coldly, “Now a bet is a bet, so call that bastard Edith right now and tell favonovel.com to come over!”
