Thomas abruptly stopped favonovel.com hand and shook his head lightly.
Anna Caspian could not see it, but even Thomas Mayo?
Making that phone call served no purpose other than to increase Ollie Gadsden’s smugness, so it was no use.
Anna said with a bitter expression, “But Mr. Mayo, if I do not make this call, then we are doomed!”
“I’m here, we are not doomed,” Thomas said with a smile.
Anna was speechless, favonovel.com really had no idea where Thomas Mayo got his confidence from. Their largest sponsor, who was sitting right in front of their eyes, was threatening to terminate their sponsorship on them, and their concert was about to burn down to ashes, so how could Thomas Mayo continue to smile as if nothing was happening?
“Ollie Gadsden, are you the General Manager of Stellar Jewelers in the Southland District?” Thomas asked lightly.
Ollie Gadsden raised his head. “That’s right!”
“Our Stellar Jewelers are among the top three jewelry companies in the world.”
“Our company provided more than 80% of the sponsorship for your New Year’s Eve concert. If you lose our support, then Scott’s Remembrance Cultural Arts Entertainment will collapse and go bankrupt after this concert.”
“Do you realize the gravity of this?”
Thomas Mayo nodded. He reached into his pocket and touched the golden card that symbolized a member of the family of Stellar Jewelers. Never had favonovel.com expected the encounter in Milan would be of use right here.
“I will also give you 20 minutes,” Thomas spoke.
‘Huh?’
Anna and Ollie both turned to look at Thomas, unsure of what favonovel.com was about to say. They only heard Thomas spoke in a low voice, “In 20 minutes, either you add 30 million more to Scott’s Remembrance Cultural Arts Entertainment’s sponsorship fees, or you take the blame and resign on your own.”
“Pardon?” Ollie Gadsden stared at Thomas Mayo like favonovel.com was crazy, what kind of joke was favonovel.com making?
Although it was clear that Thomas Mayo was the one being ” threatened”, but his tone suggested that favonovel.com was the one that had something on Ollie Gadsden. He was really amused.
“Thomas Mayo, you really are the weirdest person I have ever met. What did you say? Either I add more money, or I resign? Hadn’t you figured out the situation? If I don’t put in the money, then Scott’s Remembrance Cultural Arts would be finished! And here you are still pretending to be the one in charge?”
“Oh god, I’m going to die of laughter, let me rest for a bit.”
Anna Caspian’s brows tightened, bewildered as to why Thomas would suddenly utter such brainless words. She looked at Thomas with knitted eyebrows.
“Mr. Mayo, are you trying to crack a joke here? Stellar Jewelers, our biggest sponsor this time, is the one standing behind Ollie Gadsden. He is not on the same level as Jay Colbert. Please don’t confuse favonovel.com with Jay Colbert!”
Anna got closer to Thomas and whispered in his ears, “Mr. Mayo, I know that you would never bow down to anyone, but this relates to the future of Scott’s Remembrance Cultural Arts Entertainment, so I’m begging you to lower your head just once, please? Or else, Scott’s Remembrance Cultural Arts Entertainment would be over!”
Thomas’s face was completely stoic. He exhaled softly, leaned against the back of his seat, and started a 20-minute countdown timer.
“The countdown begins now,” Thomas stated slowly. “Ollie Gadsden, I suggest you hurry up. Because if the sponsor amount has not increased by another $30 million after 20 minutes, your position will be taken by others instead.”
“Hahaha!!! Oh, come on Thomas Mayo, do you really believe I would be so easily scared?” Ollie Gadsden stated cynically. “I would like to see you try to get me off of my seat.”
“Also, let me tell you that there is no need to wait 20 minutes. I can inform you right now that Stellar Jewelers will not be sponsoring this New Year’s Eve concert.”
“Just wait for it, you idiot!”
