The two of them shared pleasantries.
The Old Lady took out a card and passed it to Thomas. “You saved my life and I have nothing to repay you on such short notice. Keep this card then.”
Thomas took it and looked at it. It was a VIP membership card for a jewelry store.
The Old Lady explained, “My family runs a jewelry business. This card is our shop’s honorary VIP card. With this card, you can enter any Stellar Jewelers branch and redeem a jewel of any value for free every day. Besides, you can get 30% percent off all jewelry.”
A free jewel a day, and the others at 30% off! It was pretty ludicrous!
Probably few people can have a VIP card like this.
Thomas said with some gratitude. “Madame. You are too kind…”

The Old Lady nodded.
