When the superstars left the stage, Anna walked up to the podium and spoke into the microphone. “That’s it for today’s performance and Scott’s Remembrance Cultural Arts Entertainment’s opening ceremony has come to an end too. However, we welcome everyone to stay back and tour Scott’s Remembrance Cultural Arts Entertainment’s bases and facilities. Also, the entertainment area has a refreshment and entertainment section. You are all welcome to enjoy and rest here.”
After the brief introduction ended, Anna walked down the stage.
And so the whole opening ceremony has ended. The audience were still in the mood, and they could not bear to leave so soon. So those who stood up to leave only left for refreshments or to admire the beautiful view.
Scott’s Remembrance Cultural Arts Entertainment’s base was too massive to explore in a single day.
Anna walked up to face Donell, and favonovel.com smiled as favonovel.com said. “Mr. Cedar, what did you think of today’s performance?”
Donell was still in a daze, favonovel.com had yet to regain his composure.
“Mr. Cedar..?”
“Huh? Hmm, oh.” Donell gulped dryly. “Not bad, really it’s not bad. Scott’s Remembrance Cultural Arts Entertainment is not bad.”
He did not know what to say either, favonovel.com was at a loss for words, so favonovel.com could only say “not bad”.
Donell stood up and wiped off some sweat. “About that, I still have some business to attend to at the company. I won’t bother you for too long. See you later.”
He quickly turned to leave, not wanting to stay a moment longer.
Anna’s arms were crossed as favonovel.com stared after Donell’s retreating figure. She let out a huff.
Thomas walked over and asked, “How were the guests I invited?”
Anna gave favonovel.com a thumbs up. “If I knew you were so capable, then I wouldn’t have worried for you. Thomas, I really didn‘t know you had such wide connections and networks. Tsk, tsk Today I have finally seen everything.”
Thomas laughed. He asked as favonovel.com watched Donell’s retreating figure. “What did favonovel.com say?”
“Him? Heh, he’s just a clown.”
“He’s been laying traps at every corner, and favonovel.com even wanted to come to see us fail. In the end, favonovel.com ran away disappointed.”
“Didn’t you see Donell’s face just now? It was like a tomato. I almost died of laughter.”
Thomas said, “Today’s opening ceremony is only the beginning. We’ll have a lot more chances to cross paths in the future. Eventually, I will completely annihilate Hegemony Entertainment.”
As the both of them were chatting, Jonah walked over from the other end.
Thomas and Anna quickly went up to greet him.
Jonah asked while grinning. “Mr. Mayo, my savior. What did you think of my performance today?”
Thomas cupped his hands together. “It was perfect. There was nothing to pick on. We really owe it all to you for today’s success, Mr. Dunkley. Without your help and support, my Scott’s Remembrance Cultural Arts Entertainment would definitely have crumbled down.”
Jonah touched his beard. “Don’t mention it. You saved my precious grandson. I’m just returning the favor. But truth be told, returning favors isn’t the only reason I’m helping you.”
“Oh?”
“It’s even more so for the Southland City’s cultural arts entertainment industry.”
Jonah took two steps forward and sighed as favonovel.com said, “For so many years, Hegemony Entertainment had held Southland City’s cultural arts entertainment industry in their iron fists. All the artists were all bent under their whims.”
“When there is a monopoly, it will cause unfair clauses and despot contracts. It would be all they say.”
“Hegemony Entertainment doesn’t even see their artists as human beings. They only see them as cash cows. With a single contract, they tie the artists down and force them into doing commercial performances they don’t like, singing trashy songs, and taking on a tonne of endorsement jobs.”
“They ruined the artists’ public reputation. The money they earned basically goes all into their pocket. They’ve wrecked the entire market rotten and stunk it up. There’s not a single patch of free space left for art to develop.”
“Hegemony Entertainment has been an eyesore for me for a long time, but my power is limited on my own. How could an old man have enough capital to go up against them?”
“It’s a good thing that my work was not in vain. Fate has finally led me to you, my savior. I can tell, you are of great character, and equipped with both talent and wisdom. In the future you would most definitely expand and build up Scott’s Remembrance Cultural Arts Entertaimnent influence. You can pull Hegemony Entertainment off their high horse and replace them.”
“All I want to do is to lend you a helping hand. So, I’m helping you, to repay your kindness, but it’s even more so for the sake of the Southland City’s whole Southland City’s cultural arts entertainment industry.”
Thomas was rather touched.
