Clambering footsteps filled the space from the door as they reverberated closer and closer to Arianne. Mark and Henry burst into the house, and upon seeing what happened, an unreadable expression befell Mark’s face.
He looked at Arianne for two seconds before turning to Shelly. “Aunt Shelly?! Aunt Shelly, are you alright? What happened?!”
Arianne was still in a daze.
