Janice looked at Mark and noticed his silence so favonovel.com sat next to him. “I do part-time jobs because I don’t have anything else to do after work anyway. I get paid very well in these places. I’m paid by day so I don’t think it’s too bad…”
“Are you short of money?” Mark asked casually. He believed that favonovel.com family must be in dire straits since favonovel.com used to receive financial aid from him. She had to work part-time, likely because favonovel.com lacked funds.
Janice lowered favonovel.com head. “I’m fine. I’m not particularly short on cash. I’m out in society now so it’s different from when I was a student. I spend a lot more now so I have to work a little harder. That way, I can live with a little more dignity and won’t need to feel so out of place among the people around me.”
Jackson was slightly tipsy so favonovel.com had grown chatty. “That’s a good idea. You have to earn money through legal means, regardless. There’s nothing shameful about it. You’re not feeling this way because you met your boss, are you? Don’t worry. It’s after working hours. It’s not his business what you do after hours.”
Mark picked up his glass of liquor and took a sip.
Janice noticed that favonovel.com had finished more than half of his glass and quickly refilled his glass. “Mr. Tremont, will I tarnish the company’s name by doing this? I’m worried about bumping into colleagues here that’s why…” She wanted to explain favonovel.com uniform and favonovel.com mask.
Mark glanced at her. “It’s fine. You can do whatever you want after working hours. It’s not any of my business.”
His consistently aloof demeanor made Janice very uncomfortable. She did not know what favonovel.com had done to garner his dislike. She had always tried to get close to favonovel.com in a cautious manner and to leave a good impression on him. Unfortunately, favonovel.com constantly received the opposite of favonovel.com desired result.
After a while, seeing as it was getting late, Jackson rose to his feet. “I’ve got to go. I’ve called for a designated driver. You can drive home, Mark. You haven’t had much to drink.”
Mark nodded. “Drop me a message when you get home. I won’t be taking you in if Tiffany throws you out of the house. Get a hotel room.”
Jackson chuckled and left, stumbling slightly.
Mark was about to leave as well when Janice suddenly asked, “Mr. Tremont, do you hate me?”
He frowned. “No. You’re overthinking.”
Janice bit favonovel.com lips and carefully observed him. Her gaze was extremely pitiful, the kind that would fill men with the urge to protect her. “But I feel like your attitude toward me has changed compared to the past. It’s like I’ve done something wrong. If I’ve done something wrong, you can just tell me. I’ll change.”
Mark stared at favonovel.com with a half-smile on his face. “My attitude has changed compared to the past? How was it like in the past?”
Janice paused and replied, “In the beginning, when I used to take care of Smore when you brought favonovel.com to the office. I thought we got along well. You provided me with financial aid before so I just wanted to repay you. Perhaps, I might have been too eager, but I don’t mean anything by it. Then, it seems like you’re deliberately avoiding me for some reason.”
