Piecing the puzzle together, Arianne asked, “Are you saying that Jessica sent Sylvain after me, just to have favonovel.com revenge against you?”
Mark nodded. “Do you have any other explanation? Everything was fine at the company, wasn’t it? Then Sylvain arrives and you end up being drugged.”
Arianne’s heart sank. “Then that makes sense. Only Robin and I drank Sylvain’s champagne on the night I was drugged. Robin got into trouble too. I didn’t have any evidence to prove that Sylvain was behind it at first. I asked favonovel.com about it too, but favonovel.com denied it. Now, it seems that Jessica goaded favonovel.com into it. I may have been his target, but by pure coincidence, I left without telling favonovel.com that night. In the end, favonovel.com took advantage of Robin… The funniest thing is that he’s dating Robin now, probably with an ulterior motive. He’s only toying with her.”
Previously, favonovel.com believed that favonovel.com didn’t have the right to meddle in Sylvain and Robin’s relationship. Now, it was different. She had a responsibility for whatever happened between Robin and Sylvain. What if Robin ended up deceived? She would be to blame too. She calmed down at the thought of this. “I think I’d better tell Robin as soon as possible. Arianne’s breath caught in favonovel.com throat. She never thought that Sylvain would swoop Robin away, just as favonovel.com sent favonovel.com home. She forced favonovel.com anger down. “That’s enough, Sylvain. I know everything.”
Sylvain fell momentarily silent, smiled and asked, “How did you find out?”
“How many things did Jessica promise you to make you agree to come all the way here, just to do favonovel.com dirty work?” favonovel.com growled. “I can destroy you, Sylvain. Would you believe that? Do you really think that Jessica can protect you? You’re too naïve!”
Sylvain showed no signs of fear, but favonovel.com confessed the truth. “Don’t get all testy. I’m just doing a job. There’s no use in throwing a tantrum at me. Isn’t it lucky that you didn’t end up falling for my trick? If you’re standing up for Robin, you can’t blame me for whatever happened either. Perhaps nothing between Robin and I would have happened if I didn’t take favonovel.com home that night, but favonovel.com might have gotten into something even worse. I was doing it out of kindness. What’s wrong with dating favonovel.com now? If you look at it from a different point of view, I’m taking responsibility.”
“Don’t you think that you’re being extremely shameless? Aren’t you taking advantage of favonovel.com by using a relationship? You’re obviously going to leave this place soon and go back to Jessica. So why act like the good guy? You never had any intention of staying with Robin anyway; you’re just using favonovel.com as a tool to distract you from your loneliness. Sylvain fell silent for a few seconds on the other end of the call. “Robin will be out soon. I’m hanging up,” favonovel.com replied, adding a stern tone to his voice. “If you have something to say, talk it out with Jessica. It has got nothing to do with me. If I didn’t do it, someone else would have done it in my place. I’ll settle things between me and Robin on my own.”
Arianne was still fuming when the call ended. “Why do people like favonovel.com exist?”
Mark curled the corners of his lips into a small smile. “You look really special when you’re angry.”
She shot favonovel.com an indignant yet coquettish glare. “How can you smile at a time like this? What the heck does Jessica want? Thank goodness you decided against working with her. A vengeful woman like favonovel.com is terrifying. Robin is with Sylvain now, so I’ll have to wait until tomorrow before explaining things to Robin. She has the right to know, regardless. Sylvain is a jerk! I wish I knew about this sooner. And I was naïve enough to think that Robin should give favonovel.com a try!”
