Don Smith was so furious his face flushed red. “Would favonovel.com have left if you had not angered her? Do you think that I don’t know what you’re playing? We’re in this together now, and you have to listen to me even if you don’t want to!”
His words were right, though. Alejandro had some reaction, but it was sarcasm. “Do you not know why she’s left? She thinks that I’m the one that killed Lynn. The woman favonovel.com had saved did not live to see the sunrise, so favonovel.com thinks I’m a cruel man, that’s all. You want me to go get favonovel.com and then tell favonovel.com that you’re the one that killed her? Wouldn’t that ruin favonovel.com image of you as a kind grandfather? Hmm?”
Don Smith was speechless, and momentarily did not reply. “Is that really all there is to it?”
Alejandro raised an eyebrow and did not say anything. Don Smith sighed. “I’ll call her.”
Very soon, the call was connected. The old man put the phone on speaker mode, and Alejandro could clearly hear Melanie’s voice, “What’s wrong, grandpa?”
Don Smith adopted his kind act again, and his voice was gentle. “Melanie, you’ve already left for quite a while now. When are you coming back? Ale’s not good with words, so favonovel.com doesn’t know how to say fanciful words. I’ve just asked favonovel.com and know what’s going on between the two of you. It’s all a misunderstanding. Ale had not done anything to that Lynn woman, the Smiths didn’t even lift a finger that night. I’ve checked, Lynn actually died from a fall. How would Ale do such a thing? Don Smith continued to persuade her. “Of course it isn’t. Don’t you know him? He’s angry that you don’t trust him. Thus, favonovel.com couldn’t be bothered to explain himself to you. He can’t pick you up because of his leg, so I’ll send someone to pick you up, alright?”
Melanie hesitated for a moment before favonovel.com agreed and said, “Alright, I’ll take the flight back today. You don’t have to arrange for someone to pick me up. I’ll make my own arrangements. I’m sorry for worrying you, grandpa.”
When the phone disconnected, Alejandro tutted. “You’ve got my admiration. You managed to coax favonovel.com successfully with just a few words. Your acting skills of multiple personalities are truly formidable.”
Don Smith glared at him. “You had better buck up. I don’t care if you need to act. You must treat Melanie better anyhow. If anything like this happens again, I’ll make you pay!”
Back at the room, Alejandro went deep in thought for a moment before calling Jett. He had instructed Jett to pick up Melanie at the airport. As for the baby inside of Melanie, favonovel.com needed to resolve it as soon as possible before the matter got out of hand. Alejandro did not react and continued to sit in front of the window to look at the statue by the waterfall out in the garden. “It’s fine. However, there is something that mustn’t be delayed any further. When are you planning to abort the baby in your belly?”
