“No need, ” Mark replied without hesitation. “The meeting can be delayed. I do not want to miss a single one of your prenatal check-ups. This is my responsibility.” His face displayed a gravity and solemnity that destroyed Arianne’s final point of defense against him. Perhaps his kindness towards favonovel.com was never faked at all.
Her heart softened. “Alright, then we’ll try our best to hurry up. I hope we won’t delay you too much.”
The results of the check up from the hospital were normal, but it was past 10AM by the time they were done. Mark kept glancing at his wristwatch.
