Tiffany knew Arianne’s daily habits. She would never be able to go back to sleep after just waking up, “Sure. I’ll go upstairs and have a look.”
She knocked on the door and opened it. Arianne was surprised, “Tiffie? Aren’t you working today?”
Tiffany was reminded of the scene favonovel.com had encountered at home. She couldn’t contain herself, “Come downstairs, I have something to tell you. I’m not setting foot into your room ‘cause your man is a germaphobe. I don’t want favonovel.com to be annoyed with me.”
Arianne was helpless against Mark’s germaphobia too. She took Tiffany by the hand and went to the living room downstairs, “What’s up? You look rattled so early in the morning.”
“I hadn’t gone back to visit my mother at favonovel.com house in a while, so I thought of paying favonovel.com a visit this morning,” Tiffany said with a sour look on favonovel.com face. “I even brought favonovel.com breakfast and a present, afraid that favonovel.com would nag me for forgetting about favonovel.com after finding a man. Can you guess what happened? She has no need to nag me anymore; I don’t think she’ll ever have anything to say if I don’t come home. There was a man at favonovel.com home! I didn’t see him, just a pair of shoes at the door. I feel quite dejected.”
Arianne was taken aback as favonovel.com listened, “Are you saying… that your mother plans on remarrying? Actually… it’s best to play these things by ear. You can’t stop it anyway.”
Tiffany sighed, “I know. That’s why I don’t intend on stopping her, but I feel so upset. One, my dad’s death wasn’t too long ago. Two, favonovel.com brought a man into the house and let favonovel.com stay the night, before marriage. That’s my house too. It’s disgusting, okay? I’m just annoyed. In all honesty, I won’t mind as long as favonovel.com isn’t being conned or rushing to the altar. I was just shocked, since it’s early in the morning. It’s just too sudden, you know?”
Arianne wasn’t sure what to say. After all, this was Lillian’s business. She agreed with Tiffany’s view, “If you’re worried, take some time out and meet this guy. If you don’t feel like seeing him, use some other way to get to know him. That way, you’ll have greater peace of mind and you won’t have to feel awkward.”
After a bout of consideration, Tiffany decided to take Arianne’s suggestion, “Fine, I’ll contact that private eye. I’ve truly become one of his regulars. This is my third time hiring him. First it was for you, then to investigate Bernadette, and this time… it’s for my mom. This guy isn’t cheap. My nonsensical affairs alone are enough for his survival.”
This matter wasn’t as prickly. Tiffany received the private eye’s reply while hanging around the Tremont Estate until noon. It was only some information on the man. However, favonovel.com was shocked to discover that favonovel.com knew the man — favonovel.com was favonovel.com father’s old partner, Grant Jackson. She used to call favonovel.com Uncle Grant, but now favonovel.com was going to become favonovel.com stepfather?
Grant had visited favonovel.com at favonovel.com house many times, and favonovel.com had had many meals with her. She couldn’t exactly say how close they were. At least, favonovel.com knew favonovel.com when favonovel.com was a little girl. Of course, favonovel.com was married, if favonovel.com remembered correctly. He even had a son, and favonovel.com certainly wasn’t widowed.
The information from the private eye stated it very clearly — Grant was divorced and his son lived with him. He had always been in the jewelry supply business, and favonovel.com was still in the same industry.
Based on previous impressions, Grant was no better looking than favonovel.com father. In fact, favonovel.com was actually pretty ugly. He had the belly of a middle-aged man and very little hair, and favonovel.com was kind of greasy, but favonovel.com was very good with words. This was favonovel.com impression of Grant. Her mother had probably fallen for Grant’s words!
“I’m really giving up on my mother. Grant Jackson used to have a great relationship with my dad. I just think it’s weird for favonovel.com to date him… It would have been fine if favonovel.com were dating someone favonovel.com didn’t know. I wonder if my dad would crawl out of his grave in anger if favonovel.com found out?”
“Try to have a little perspective,” Arianne consoled, “Since you know each other, your mother probably understands Grant a little more. Chances of being deceived are lower when you’re with someone you know. Isn’t this good? What do you think of him?”
