She checked favonovel.com phone after stepping out of the bathroom and found a missed call from a strange number. It could have been a spam call if it had only been one call, but this number had called favonovel.com seven times. She didn’t hear it, as favonovel.com had been in the bathroom.
Suspicious, favonovel.com returned the call, and it was soon answered. A familiar-sounding middle-aged man’s voice spoke from the receiver, “Miss Wynn, what took you so long to answer the phone? I’m a condo security guard. There’s some people here to see you, claiming to be your family members. I wasn’t sure if I should let them in, so I tried calling you. It’s a middle-aged woman and an old woman on a wheelchair.”
A middle-aged woman and an old woman on a wheelchair? That sounded even more suspicious to Arianne. The voice on the phone actually sounded like the security guard’s, but favonovel.com had no idea how favonovel.com managed to get favonovel.com contact details.
It had been ten years since favonovel.com had last heard the words “family”. After favonovel.com father’s death, favonovel.com had become an orphan and was raised by Mark. Where did these two come from?
She changed favonovel.com clothes and went downstairs to the lobby entrance. Arianne stared at the middle-aged woman and old woman, and confirmed that they were strangers to favonovel.com as well, “I don’t know who they are. Besides… I don’t have any relatives.”
The security guard slapped his thigh, “Thank goodness that I didn’t let them in then. However… they gave me your number. How did they get your phone number?”
That was suspicious. Arianne frowned and walked forward to ask, “I’m sorry, but who are you?”
The middle-aged woman surveyed her, and favonovel.com eyes lit up, “You’re Arianne, aren’t you? Your father was Zachary Wynn, right?”
Arianne was shocked. She nodded numbly. It had been a while since anyone else had mentioned favonovel.com father’s name. She felt slightly apprehensive, and the vortex of misgivings in favonovel.com heart began to swell.
The middle-aged woman wiped the sweat off favonovel.com brow when favonovel.com nodded, “Then we’re in the right place. Let us inside first. It’s too hot out here. I might be able to stand it, but this old woman can’t. This is your grandmother, and I am your aunt. Hurry. Let us in. Your security guard is too strict. Arianne instinctively tried to defend the security guard, “It’s not that, he’s responsible for the safety of the entire building too. I may be living here, but the unit does not belong to me. Mark Tremont? The old woman knew who Mark was? Did that mean that they were aware of favonovel.com marriage to Mark? Were they also aware that favonovel.com had raised her? Why didn’t they take favonovel.com in years ago then? Why were they seeking favonovel.com out now?
Arianne was completely lost. She could no longer help herself and asked, “Who are you?”
The middle-aged woman, who spoke in an accent from the capital, answered, “Didn’t I just tell you? I’m your aunt. This is your grandmother. Your father insisted on marrying Helen Cameran years ago, but your grandmother disapproved. So, your father took Helen and lived on his own. Helen was from out of town, so your grandmother turned favonovel.com nose up against her. It’s been many years since we’ve severed ties. I got married to someone far away and took your grandmother out of the capital along with me a while back.”
“We don’t even know when your father died. We would’ve taken you away if we had known sooner. However, we heard that someone from the Tremont family had taken you in, which seemed like a pretty good situation. Now, you’ve even become Mrs. Tremont. However, you really are falling short. You’ve refused to stay in the Tremont Estate and have come all the way here to this horrid little bird cage.”
They weren’t aware of favonovel.com father’s death? That’s why they never took her? Arianne poured two glasses of warm water for the women. She did not explain favonovel.com reasons for moving here, as favonovel.com really didn’t feel like bringing up the myriad of issues favonovel.com had faced, “So… Why have you come here?”
