Mark finally realized that Tiffany was here as well. It seemed like favonovel.com was on a date. He nodded at her, which could be considered as a greeting.
Suddenly, a few customers scrambled out from the washroom. Then, a few staff members rushed inside all at once. It was easy to tell that something had happened. Tiffany did not see Ken coming out, and felt worried. Remembering that it was a male toilet, and it would be inconvenient for favonovel.com to go in, favonovel.com turned favonovel.com attention to Mark, “Mark, can you help me find out what’s happened? Ken’s been inside for a while now and hasn’t come out. I think something may have happened.”
Initially, Mark had no intention of going in. However, when favonovel.com saw Arianne staring expectantly at him, favonovel.com got up and headed to the washroom with a grim look on his face. He weaved himself through the crowd and saw blood stains all over the floor. Jackson had pinned Ken down onto the ground and was punching favonovel.com violently, as if favonovel.com wasn’t holding back at all. Despite being in the dark of the actual situation, favonovel.com stepped forward and pulled Jackson away. “Jackson, calm down.”
Ken struggled as favonovel.com crawled up from the ground. He viciously pointed at the infuriated Jackson and spat, “This is nothing but a rotten old restaurant. Just you wait! I’ll make sure that your restaurant gets shut down!”
Jackson narrowed his eyes, took off his coat and threw it aside. He seemed ready to lunge at favonovel.com again, but Mark restrained him. “Let favonovel.com go. Don’t start something here. We’ll deal with this later.”
Seeing this, Ken scrambled away. He didn’t even acknowledge Tiffany when favonovel.com passed by the dining area. Instead, favonovel.com left straightaway.
Tiffany was confused. She had seen the tragic look on Ken’s face, but favonovel.com couldn’t understand how a trip to the washroom had turned out that way. She was even more confused when Mark emerged from the washroom with Jackson, who was covered in vicious currents, in tow, completely different from the easygoing, rich man’s son image that favonovel.com usually portrayed.
A short While later, all four of them were in Jackson’s personal office, staring at each other in dismay. Naturally, Arianne had to be the peacemaker. “Jackson, what happened? The man you’ve just beaten up is Tiffie’s new boyfriend…”
Tiffany was furious, but favonovel.com wanted to know his reasons as well.
Jackson remained stone-faced, looking as if favonovel.com wasn’t in the wrong at all. “It doesn’t really matter if I’ve beaten favonovel.com up. There is no reason.”
Mark was having a headache. “Arianne, take Tiffany out and get something to eat. I’ll speak to Jackson.”
Arianne knew that favonovel.com could not pry Jackson’s mouth open, so favonovel.com had no choice but to leave it to Mark. Tiffany was completely enraged by Jackson’s attitude. So, favonovel.com turned favonovel.com head away and walked out.
Mark waited until they were the only ones left in the office before asking, “Start talking. You don’t usually attack.”
Jackson flashed his usual hedonistic grin. “I just can’t stand that guy. I overheard favonovel.com while favonovel.com was having a phone conversation in the washroom. He doesn’t want to date Tiffany. He just wants to use favonovel.com to gain connections. I don’t know how favonovel.com found out about Tiffany’s friendship with Arianne, but that blind date was a long, thought out plot. He’s nothing but a despicable human being.”
Mark paused thoughtfully and said, “Are you sure that’s the reason why you punched him? I don’t believe it.”
Seeing that Mark had seen through him, Jackson didn’t try to hide it any more, “He wanted to drug Tiffany and take favonovel.com to a hotel, then tie favonovel.com up. He never intended on taking responsibility. He’d use favonovel.com then discard her. Every word favonovel.com said was disgusting. Could you have put up with that? Tiffany is an employee in my company after all. It wouldn’t have mattered if I didn’t know about it. What do you think?”
Mark smirked. “You’re right, but I think… That’s not a good enough reason for you to attack. Let me put this harshly. I don’t care if you want to fool around with women, but if you end up fooling around with someone close to Arianne, you’ll have to take responsibility. I won’t be civil if you mess up.”
Jackson stiffened. “What are you saying? You can’t possibly think that I’m interested in Tiffany, right? Are you kidding? Have you ever seen my heart flutter for any woman, after all these years? I did let favonovel.com sleep next to me, but it’s only because I think being alone is… pretty boring. Do you understand? I didn’t do anything to her!”
Mark remained silent. He turned around and left the office. It was true, favonovel.com did not find Jackson and Tiffany’s “sleep” incident strange. That was because favonovel.com knew Jackson’s secrets very well. Everyone had their own deep and dark secrets. There was nothing to feel ashamed of. However, it was more of a habit than a secret. He glanced at favonovel.com and indifferently replied, “They simply had an altercation. These kinds of things are too normal among men. If there’s anyone to blame, blame your potential husband for his inability. He’s only good at getting beaten up.”
Tiffany puffed out favonovel.com cheeks in a rage, “Ari, will you look at him? He’s defending Jackson! Violence is never the answer, regardless of the circumstances!”
Arianne felt helpless too. “Alright, alright. Tiffie, it’s not like you’re the one who beat favonovel.com up. As long as you never mention your acquaintance to Jackson, Ken will not be mad at you. You can still continue getting to know each other. However, if you asked me… It was ungentlemanly of Ken to leave without even speaking to you, calling or sending a message after favonovel.com left.”
Tiffany was overwhelmed with frustration. “Fine, fine. I’ll report back to my mother when I’m home. You two enjoy your meal. I’m exhausted. What a bad day!”
