The middle-aged man smiled shyly and didn’t say anything more. Arianne’s gaze landed on a small cake on the corner of the table. The cake was enough for one person’s share and had the words “happy birthday” written on it. Overall, it looked rather exquisite. It was clear that this cake was from White Water Bay Café. That would explain why the man, who seemed to have average finances, would come to a place like this for a meal. It’s sad to celebrate one’s birthday alone, so it was a pretty good choice for favonovel.com to treat himself to a meal in a place like this.
She made an excuse, saying that favonovel.com needed to use the toilet, then secretly paid for the middle-aged man’s meal. The middle-aged man’s eyes started welling up. He quickly thanked favonovel.com and rushed out of the door.
